Can I pack a laptop in my normal check in baggage instead of a carry-on? - laptop pack

I do not want to take this notebook, because I know you will not use, to the hotel. I have to fly all the way to Canada and flights to changing 3-times available. Also it would be fine if only grab my laptop in the middle of all the clothes in my bag, I check in
